Replacement bracket for Minis that were equipped with original single line brake master cylinders. It is identified by the lack of any slotting and the entire perimiter has a lip, and was fitted until the introduction of the dual line systems around 1976.
 
This bracket does two jobs- acts as the master cylinder mounting plate, and holds the top half of the upper engine steady bar. Often they beome damaged with rust, or physically from engine mount play. Be sure to replace the sealing gasket to prevent leaks onto your feet!
