Standard replacement 3-step A+ type layshaft. If you are rebuilding your gearbox it is always a smart idea to replace your layshaft. A worn layshaft can rapidly cause destruction in your gearbox and harm your engine, so be sure to renew any layshaft with pitting or wear.
 
A+ layshafts used two bearings, whereas Pre-A+ types used three.
